Pandemic Covid-19 has crippled all the industries including the Punjabi entertainment industry, as all the shoots have been suspended due to the prevailing lockdown. Despite of such challenging conditions, the Punjabi industry is putting all effort to take the audience’s lockdown blues away and to cheer them up with some quality content.
Once again, many big faces of the Punjabi industry are coming together with a short film titled Life Under Lockdown. As the name suggests, the short movie will be based on the current situation of the country and will focus on the changes that have been caused in people’s lives due to the lockdown. The film will highlight the various lessons that have been learnt by the people in this lockdown.
Presented by ‘Sharp. 26. Productions’ the short film has been created by Simranjit Singh Hundal. Simranjit is a celebrated director of the Punjabi industry and has directed many films including ‘Jatt Boys Putt Jattan De’, ’25 Kille’, ‘Nanka Mel’ and ‘Gun and Goal’. Simranjit has won many awards for his directorial work in the past including prestigious awards like Filmfare Punjabi Award for ‘25 Kille‘ and the PTC Punjabi film award for ‘Jatt Boys Putt Jattan De’.
It is evident from the current norms, that the film has been shot in the actors’ respective homes. Releasing on 2 May 2020, ‘Life Under Lockdown’ will definitely manage to boost and exhilarate the viewers.
The short film features many stars of the Punjabi industry including Yuvraj Hans, Geeta Zaildar, Kuljinder Sidhu, Gavie Chahal, Sardar Sohi, Ranjha Vikram Singh, Jimmy Sharma, Paramveer Singh, Vikramjeet Virk, Deedar Gill, Ihana Dhillon, Sonia Mann, Saanvi Dhiman, Sweetaj Brar, Diljott, Kanwalpreet Singh and Simranjit Singh Hundal.
The starstudded short film, featuring more than a dozen of Punjabi artists, aims at motivating and encouraging the audience in this difficult time. Other than an important message, the movie will also cheer the audience with tonnes of entertainment and fun.
